Stereotypes and Generalizations

1. Library teachers do make kids read books about rules
2. Library teachers do keep kids away from cards
3. Librarians do use blinders so the kids wouldn’t distract her
4. Librarians use the cold shoulder to kids when they ask a question
5. Librarians make a scary face to scare kids
6. Librarians do make kids read old books
7. Librarians might hit kids heads together

Generalization

All blonde haired people are dumb
Reasons why this is true:
1. A blonde girl on the Amanda Show is dumb
2. On Mean Girls, a blonde girl is dumb
3. A friend of mine who is blonde, called herself dumb

Reasons why it isn’t true:
1. I am not dumb and I am blonde
2. My mom isn’t dumb and she is blonde
3. My sister is blonde and she isn’t dumb
4. My cousin is blonde and she isn’t dumb
5. I’ve heard that blonde people aren’t dumb, they just have a lack of brain cells
