People practice many different religions around the world. Did you know that the religion Hinduism has more than one thousand ceremonies/holidays? The religion Christianity has over sixteen holidays/ceremonies. Did you also know that Hinduism has more than one god? Christianity only has one god. These statements prove that Hinduism and Christianity are very different.
One thing that makes Hinduism and Christianity different is their symbols. There are about twelve Hindu symbols, and over one hundred Christian symbols. The Hinduism symbol bindi is the most recognizable Hindu symbol. The most common and one of the earliest used Christian symbol is the cross. The bindi is a red dot that women wear on their forehead. The cross symbolizes Christ’s death.
Another thing that makes Hinduism and Christianity different is their major beliefs. Hinduism’s major beliefs are reincarnation, karma determines your reincarnation, there is more than one god, and Hinduism in open minded. Christianity’s major beliefs are afterlife, one god, and matters of doctrine.
A third thing that makes Hinduism and Christianity different is their history. Hinduism is one of the oldest religions and its roots date back to 2000 BC. The earliest history of Hinduism is not clear and most of its ancient writings haven’t been deciphered yet. Hinduism was the religion of India and the authors of Hinduism’s texts are unknown. Christianity is one of the largest religions. Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew. No one really knows much about his early life. Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day in a barn, and died and was resurrected on Easter day.
In conclusion, Hinduism and Christianity are very different. Their symbols, history, ceremonies/holidays, major beliefs, and many more are all very different, but that is what makes them all unique.
